Snog City

SNOG ALERT.

"A friendly warning to all unsuspecting tourists: participants in the Derry pub scene run a HIGH RISK of encountering "snog".

Snogging known as kissing in other parts of the world, is the recreation choice for Derry drinkers after the pubs 1AM. closing - everybody mills about on the streets in front of the pubs until they find a suitable match. The coupled patrons then proceed to "house parties," where more "snog" is likely to be found. One recent migrant to Derry reports being unable to frequent pubs after only four weeks in town; friends explain that this snog-sated man had so many flings that he is now unable to find a pub which does not hold a former snog partner."
